In the first movie, she says her natural born white hair cannot be dyed and nothing sticks she also claims she wore a wig to hide it "as long as can remember." In the second movie, her hair glows as a strange meteor falls out of the sky. (His last name also suggests he is of Jewish heritage.) Meaningful Name: "Zed" rhymes with "dead." Could possibly be short for "Zedekiah", the last king of Judah.To be fair it was a fear reflex, and she even apologized for it.
